History of the vineyard: Croatina is known and grown since the Middle Ages. Probably it comes from Rovescala, in Pavia and the first official descriptions date back to the second half of the 19th century, from 1875 onwards. Bonarda”, not to be confused with the Bonarda vineyard from Piedmont, is the traditional name used in the Pavia, Piacenza and Parma provinces.
