The Cantina di Vicobarone was born in 1960 in Vicobarone di Ziano Piacentino, in the heart of the Val Tidone
The winery currently has about 200 winegrowers, which give it the best selection of grapes from the DOC areas of the Colli Piacentini and Oltrepò Pavese. Barbera, Bonarda, Malvasia and Ortrugo are the main varieties found on the 700 hectares of the winery's vineyards , which constitute its great wine-growing wealth. Just the great variety of soils, together with the wise care of our winemakers first and then of the winemakers, means that the grapes, vinified according to natural fermentation methods, become a wine of high quality and typicality, respecting the ancient traditions, but with an eye to the new generations that are a source of continuous inspiration for us. We intend our viticulture and our wine as a way to live in our territory and in the riches that it gives us, trying to increase its agricultural and human heritage and its traditions. This is why we want to be a sustainable company that creates value for the territory, making our customers get a wine that is the synthesis of all this. In our daily work we try to convey passion and love to those who taste our wines, now present throughout the national market and increasingly even abroad. This is a source of great pride for us, but above all it allows us to continuously listen to our customers and always improve ourselves. We thought of our site as a window on our reality and our wines, hoping to have succeeded in the enterprise and hoping to welcome our real and virtual visitors to the winery.
